Research & Development

Thanks to their constant commitment to research and development and participation in innovative projects with renowned universities throughout Germany in the field of Industry 4.0, INTEC International has won the certificate for Innovation Through Research. Research and development is an essential part of the INTEC international strategy. The goal is the introduction of new products and their standardization, which is taken into account from the start. The result of this strategy are technical innovations with a high profitability potential. INTEC International GmbH was awarded the BITKOM Innovation Prize 2020 for developing the control of a bi-fuel engine for natural gas and diesel operation.

Ongoing research projects

QuinDa-ML - Quality assurance in production plants through intelligent data integration and use of machine learning methods with the build-up of expert knowledge

The project is about the development of a modular system of software-based tools that uses machine learning (ML) methods for intelligent data integration and data evaluation.

The focus of the project is the software implementation of the data fusion methods into executable IT device functions for data preprocessing (SmartDevices) and their functional proof in demonstrator technology.

RESPOND's goal is a flexible and dynamic production system in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) that monitors its status itself and can react to errors and problems. The sociotechnical production system carries out dynamic processes.

Thanks to the solutions developed in the project, more reliable and at the same time more flexible production systems of the future can be developed and operated, and technologies can be transferred to other IoT / CPS domains.

INTEC's contribution here is the coupling, integration and preparation of the production data (RESPOND Objects) in a common platform. The focus is on intelligent handling of the resulting mass data in the Edge Gateway, the area that lies between production and the IT platform and becomes part of the workflow.

Successfully completed projects

Development of a pollution sensor

As part of the project, an overall system for reactive and predictive fault detection for photovoltaic (PV) systems was developed and tested with the inclusion of pollution detection. The system thus enables "predictive maintenance", which includes prognosis functions for predicting faults.

With the help of SmARPro wearables, information is provided to the employee in a context-based manner and depending on their current position - for example in the form of an augmented reality representation. The aim is to provide information that is directly related to the object in question.
